How on earth is it already October? It's insane how quickly time goes by. This is one of my favorite months and issues. I love fashion, it's always so much fun to produce the fashion shoots and work with my peers to fulfill our vision.

I am simply infatuated with our cover; it's almost spooky. Fitting, since we shot at the Julia Ideson Library, which is rumored to have its own ghosts. We had a few odd elevator moments. Thank you so much to Marta Fredricks at Dancie Ware Perugini and Kemo Curry, Manager at Houston Metropolitan Research Center, for helping capture our shots.

While pulling the clothing for this shoot, we had much less time than usual and learned that even under pressure, we still stuck to our gut rather than all the trends. Yes, we were inspired by a few, but a general fashion rule of thumb is to stay true to yourself. Wear what you like; what makes you feel confident and you. My grandmother, mother and sister have always been my fashion inspiration. Who are yours?
